Gas & LNG

Natural Gas is the cleanest fossil fuel, and it represents the best base load fuel alternative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help combat global warming. In this respect, natural gas is the long term solution in an energy mix with renewables (solar, wind, hydro and biomass) to produce electricity or fuel for industry and transportation.  By developing the use of LNG for our power generation projects and extending its reach into local industry, DPI aims to actively contribute to protecting the environment in the developing world.

The worldwide market of LNG allows DPI to bring natural gas to any country and project where we have access to oceangoing vessels.  This often requires the added development of the shore facilities to accommodate such supply.  We specialize in the transportation and storage of LNG, as well as the facilities that are used for unloading and re-gasification at the point of use.  For instance, a floating or land-based power project can be served by periodic LNG supply vessels, with a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) such as the one pictured here.
